  1. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

INTRODUCTION:

John 10:10 declares to us as follows that “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

In this sermon series, By the leading of the Holy Spirit. I will be comparing and exposing to all of us who satan is and his plot and plan to kill and destroy us.

May the Lord help me to preach expressly in Jesus name.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd and He described Satan as a Thief whose whole purpose in life is to Steal, Kill, and Destroy the Flock of God. Yes, His purpose in life is to steal the sheep and lead them into strange pastures where the grass looks greener, but in reality it has been poison and laced with false doctrines and false teaching.

➣        Satan will lead you into strange pastures where Pit Holes has been dug to Trap you and Rob you of your Joy.

➣        Satan will lead you into strange pastures where Pool full of sin has been dug to Drown you and Rob you of your Holiness, Righteousness, and Sanctification.

➣        Satan will lead you into strange pastures where Bees has been stirred up to Sting you and rob you of you Love, Happiness, and Peace.

➣        Satan will lead you into strange pastures where the Enemy is hiding and awaiting to Ambush and pierce your heart with Fiery Darts laced with Lies and Slander.

➣        Satan will lead you into strange pastures where Smiling Face will greet you, but in reality they are awaiting an opportunity to Cut your Throat and Kill you.

The Devil…. is like a roaring lion seeking to devour all whom he can. He is angry, very ferocious, and cruel roaring lion looking for someone to destroy.

He want to destroy and kill you and all of your offspring’s. You better beware of his trick and trickery.

Satan is….

➣        The accuser of our brethren. Rev. 12:10 – “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”

➣        The adversary and the roaming lion. 1 Peter 5:8 – “Be sober, be vigilant; because[a] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

➣        The angel of the bottomless pit. Rev. 9:11 – “And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.”

➣        The evil spirit. 1 Samuel 16:14 – “But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him.”

➣        The father of lies. John 8:44 – “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

➣        The murderer of the righteous. John 8:44

➣        The old serpent. Rev. 12:9 – “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Let’s also take a look at Rev. 20:2 – “He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

➣        The power of darkness. Col. 1:13 – “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,” satan is the power of darkness that Jesus delivers us from.

➣        The spirit that worketh in the children of disobedience. Ephesians 2:2 – “in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,” satan is the spirit of disobedience that works in the mind and heart of the children of disobedience.

➣        The tempter. Matthew 4:3 – “Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” Let’s see 1 Thes. 3:5 – “5 For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.”

➣        The god of this world and the wicked one. 2 Cor. 4:4 – “whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”

➣        The unclean spirit and wicked one. Matthew 12:43 – ““When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.”

➣        The Prince and Ruler of the darkness of this world. Ephes. 6:12 – “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” See John 12:31 – “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” Also see John 14:30 – “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” See also John 16:11 – “of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”

Scripture says he roams about roaring in anger and cruelty and ferociousness of his strength, seeking someone to attack and devour.
